Builth Wells scored five tries on their way to securing a bonus point win against Bridgend rivals Hoel y Cyw last weekend.

The Bulls led 12-5 at half-time thanks to tries from Kieron Heatlie And Harry Jenkinson.

Jenkinson knocked over one of the conversions to give his side a healthy seven-point lead going into the second period.

Builth never looked back in the second half, scoring a further three tries.

Dylan Jones went over twice and Alecs Williams also crossed to give the Groe club a commanding lead.

Tries were converted once again by Harry Jenkinson to secure a 33-12 win, to the delight of Bull’s fans, who will be more than happy to see their side come away from a potentially tricky fixture with a bonus point.

Speaking after the match, Builth Wells manager Lyndon Jones said: “We left a few opportunities out there - a few missed tries in the first and second half.

“We’ve got some good players coming through - we had four of the youth boys starting I think.

“They cut through us a little too easily at the end to make it 12, but there were some good tries and a lot of positives.

“There’s plenty for us to work on now for next week, but it’s a bonus point win and a very positive result.”

Builth Wells will now make the trip down south to Pyle RFC on Saturday, October 8.
