Builth continued to press and the home side had to concede a penalty which was kicked by Dale Jones. The Bulls then gifted the Mules two tries through a combination of missed tackles and loose kicks Aaron Grabham and Mike Kennedy the scorers. The Bulls responded with an excellent try finished off by Wayne Morris. Grabham responded for the mules when he outpaced the Builth defence to score his second try converted by Nicky Giles. A period of concerted pressure from the Bulls resulted in a penalty try converted by Dale Jones. This was quickly followed by a harsh yellow card for what the referee deemed to be a deliberate knock-on by Lex Botha. Kenfig Hill took full advantage of their numerical superiority running tries from Kennedy and Grabham both of which were converted by Giles.
