The Groe, Sat 11th Apr 2015 KO: 2.30
Builth returned to winning ways on Saturday completing the double over a stubborn Cwmllynfell outfit. Following an early penalty thumped over by the boot of Bulls full back Dale Jones it was the visitors, looking much better than their league position suggested who took the game by the scruff of the neck, firstly a penalty from outside half Ackland then an unconverted try by burly number eight, Davies, charging over from the base of a scrum gave them a lead going into the second quarter. Ackland was to be given a yellow card on the half hour mark and the numerical advantage allowed the hosts back into the game when Jones converted his own try on the stroke of half time.
Half time: Builth Wells 10 - 8 Cwmllynfell
Builth centre Lex Botha, showing his liking of the fast going, was to make his pace show again on the restart finishing off a smart move with an excellent score, which went unconverted. Builth seemed happy to use the following wind to their advantage as they defended their lead until captain Ben Pugh was given ten minutes on the sideline by the referee Thomas, as his patience ran out following a series of home infringements. The visitors however were unable to make this advantage count, as they seemed to run out of ideas against well organised home defence.
